In this paper. we present the design, fabrication and testing of micro grippers in a size about 10 mm using NiTi shape memory alloy thin sheet. The shape memory alloy was trained to be with two-way shape memory by re-heat treatment. These grippers can be actuated by electrical current directly. It was found that the re-heat treatment conditions play important role on the performance of the grippers. The long term stability of the grippers was also investigated.
