Constant-stress creep tests have been completed for 7010-T7351 over stress ranges giving creep lives up to 1000 hours at 373 to 463K. The observed behaviour patterns are analysed in relation to the microstructural changes occurring during creep exposure and the stress rupture properties recorded for various 2xxx alloys, clarifying the processes controlling creep strain accumulation and damage development.
