Effect of primary microstructure on the formation of a sharp Goss texture in Fe-3%Si steels
The effects of primary microstructure on the formation of sharp Goss texture in Fe-3%Si steels are investigated. Before high temperature annealing, the cold rolled specimens were annealed at 600 and 850degreesC for 200s, in order to make the recovered and the recrystallized microstructures, respectively. The recovered specimen was recrystallized during the high temperature annealing and its microstructure was different from the one of recrystallized specimen just before secondary recrystallization stage. The recovered specimen was recrystallized and showed grain growths during the high temperature annealing and the secondary recrystallization of sharp {110}<001> Goss texture was obtained above 1000degreesC.
