Carbon dust was produced in a Bucky System 11, based on electrical arc. Then, fullerenes C-60 and C-70 were Soxhlet extracted from the carbon dust. Fullerene extract from the soot was purified by column chromatography on activated Al2O3. Separated components from the soot fullerene extract were characterized by IR and UV/Vis absorption spectroscopy. Parallel presentation and analysis of the results is reported.
