In the product scale of DUNAFERR Company there are numerous galvanised light and middleweight steel structures. The condition of the corrosion resistance of these welded structural elements is the rational design, the seasonable choice of base material and the adequate technological building up of the welded joints. Our aim was, by testing of hot dip galvanised product manufactured by DUNAFERR Steelworks Ltd., to support data regarding the effects of this process on some properties of welded joints. The DUNAFERR Research Institute carried out the mechanical and metallographical examinations.
