Within the development of wrought processing routes for the production of aeroengine turbine blades, the microstructure and texture development of several gamma TiAl alloys including high Nb containing alloys was investigated. Particular attention was placed on the correlation of phase constitution during hot working and subsequent phase transformations with recrystallization and texture development.
