The bond strength of interfaces in composites is crucial to their overall performance. Determination of the interfacial bond strength is therefore one of important tasks for materials scientists and engineers. This article provides a brief overview of several selected methods that are promising for evaluation of the bond strength of interfaces in composites. In particular, a newly developed lateral force sensing micro indentation method is introduced.
