This paper presents a brief description of various techniques and experimental procedures in fabricating Ionic Polymeric-Metal Composites (IPMCs). If fully developed, they can be used as effective biomimetic sensors, actuators and artificial muscles. The performance of those IPMCs manufactured by different fabrication techniques is discussed.
