Non-equilibrium properties of nano structured materials
Non-equilibrium properties, mesoscopic phase transitions and critical behavior, of nanostructured materials are discussed, together with the design of computer experimental systems as well as the synthesis and control of functional properties. The systems considered have either two or three-dimensional, and structural, magnetic or fractured, characters with nano-sized grains and interfaces. The interactions are taken into account up to the third nearest neighbors by means of Lennard-Jones-like potentials. The following subjects are studied; how to investigate the nanostructured materials, in what way can be computed the metastable mesoscopic behavior, and how to construct suitable computer experimental systems. The data reported are of fundamental theoretical and computational results of non-equilibrium, local nano structural properties.
