The arylation of aryl halides with boronic acids and the vinylation of aryl halides with acrylic esters are briefly reported over palladium catalysts on new eco-benign chemically modified mesoporous silica. The palladium complexes with pyridine and quinoline carboimine ligand anchored on mesoporous materials, such as FSM-16 and MCM-41 was synthesized, and subjected to the reactions. The reactions proceeded smoothly to give target products.
