Finite element simulation of axisymmetrical tube hydroforming processes
An implicit finite element formulation for axisymmetric tube hydroforming is investigated. Hill's non-quadratic yield function is employed to describe the normal anisotropy of tube material and the constitutive equation including strain rate term is introduced to consider the forming speed. In order to show the validity of the formulation, the tube bulge test is simulated. The simulation results are compared with experimental measurements.
