In this study, plastic optical fiber (POF) was considered as light-transmitting medium and substrate for the potential use in photocatalytic environmental purification system. After the characteristics of POF in terms of light transmittance were determined, detailed investigations such as conversion of selected chemicals, preparation of various reactors and immobilization of TiO2 were further conducted.
