Adsorbed hydrogen effect of reemitted slow positrons from Ni surface
Positron-induced ion-desorption spectroscopy has been constructed and used for measurements of positron-induced hydrogen ion desorption from Ni surfaces. The number of reemitted positrons from hydrogen adsorbed Ni surface is fewer than that for a clean Ni surface. We think that the effect might be related to the interaction between adsorbed hydrogen on the Ni surface and thermalized. positrons which diffuse back to the surface.
