Outline of "Method for evaluation of tensile properties of metallic superplastic materials", standardized as JIS H7501 in 2002, was presented. This standard specifies the test piece, apparatus and procedure for the evaluation of tensile superplastic properties, which are needed for superplastic forming. Working group for ISO proposal on mechanical testing of superplastic materials organized by New Materials Center is preparing to propose this method as ISO standard.
