Experimental measurements of surface tensions are reported for 1,1,1-trichloroethane with propanols at 298.15 K. The excess surface tensions for both systems are positive. An attempt is made to interpret this behavior in terms of basic thermodynamic quantities. Calculated values are compared with experimental values by using different equations existing in the literature.
