Extracting the Energy-Distribution Functions of Heterogeneous Surfaces from Their Desorption-Kinetics
The desorption kinetics from heterogeneous surfaces contain information on energy heterogeneity. Mathematical methods for extracting the energy distribution function from desorption kinetics are developed in strict formal analogy with the methods developed for equilibrium adsorption. The methods so developed are applied to the time-logarithm law usually referred to as the Elovich equation.
