This research is to investigate the mobilization effect of mixed surfactant-solvent solutions in a dodecane-contaminated soil bed. Tween-80 and low carbon-numbered alcohols were used as washing agents. With butanol, the recovery efficiency reached maximum 94%, which was the highest among our experiments. However, extended retention times lowered the removal efficiency probably due to increased admicelles during the process.
