Cell Theory Calculation of Surface-Tension of Simple Liquids Solely from Bulk Properties
A cell theory for the prediction of the surface tension of simple liquids is modified to account correctly for the fractional change in the potential energy zero term due to missing nearest neighbors of order greater than one, A measure of the surface width is obtained directly from bulk data, Theory and experiment are in good agreement without any adjustable surface parameters.
