Unsatd. polyester resin was modified by addn. of melamine or NH4 polyphosphates, and organomodified montmorillonite or/and expanded graphite or/and nanosized SiO2. The addn. of the Combined flame retardants showed a synergy effect and resulted in a decrease in combustion heat and improving flame resistance of the resin.
