Assessment of a microelement compound fertilizer obtained in the processing of poultry feathers
Protein hydrolyzate from processing of poultry feathers was used for prepn. of a microelement compound fertilizer under pilot plant conditions. The fertilizer was applied on radish seeds (Raphanus savitus) in lab. tests to det bioavailability of micronutrients in plants, available forms of micronutrients in the soil and effect of fertilizer on earthworms (Eisenia fetida). No toxicity of the fertilizer towards the plants and earthworms was obsd. The content of microelements (B, Cu, Fe, Mn, Mo and Zn) in radish was significantly increased.
