The impedances of conducting polypyrrole films, which were prepared electrochemically, were measured. The measured impedance shows a strong anisotropy of the capacitance in directions parallel and perpendicular to the substrate. A similar observation was made with respect to resistivity. In order to interpret these results, a model is proposed which is in agreement with experimental data.
