Temperature-Dependence of Some Electric Double-Layer Parameters of a Cadmium Single-Crystal Electrode

The potential of zero charge and the inner layer capacity of the (0001) face of a cadmium single crystal were determined as a function of temperature. The entropy of formation of the double layer was estimated. Based on these results, the hydrophilicity of Cd(0001), Ag(100) and Ag(111) is compared.
