Hydrogen Adsorption and Zinc Upd for Surface-Structures Characterization of Electrochemically Oriented Pt Electrodes
The surface structure of electrochemically oriented Pt electrodes has been characterized by hydrogen and zinc underpotential deposition (UPD) using cyclic voltammetric techniques. The Pt surface oriented by the (100) treatment was, found;to have a surface similar to the Pt(510). However, surfaces subjected to a (110) treatment exhibited a stepped structure similar to the Pt(530) or Pt(430) planes.
