Electrooxidation of Alcohols and Sugars Catalyzed on a Nickel-Oxide Modified Glassy-Carbon Electrode
Using a glassy carbon electrode modified with nickel oxide by a novel route, the electrocatalysis of a number of sugars and aliphatic alcohols is reported. Kinetic parameters are computed and compared with the reported data. The mechanism of oxidation of these organic compounds is discussed.
