Anodic-Oxidation of Biphenyl and P-Terphenyl in Dry Ch2Cl2+0.2 M Bu(4)Nbf(4) - Towards Poly(P-Phenylene) Possessing Stable and Reversible P-Doping and N-Doping Processes
The anodic oxidation of biphenyl or p-terphenyl in very dry CH2Cl2 + 0.2 M Bu(4)NBF(4) is described as leading to poly(p-phenylene) possessing both p and n reversible processes. The electrochemical behavior and some physicochemical characteristics of the polymers are described together with their use as electrode modifier.
