In the presented paper, the future trends and developments of lithium device batteries were investigated by bibliometric analysis of the battery development together with an expert consultation. The resulting technology roadmap presents typical chemical compositions of lithium-containing primary and secondary batteries, the influence of different substances on various battery features and expected changes in weight of batteries in three surveyed time periods.
