Oscillation Frequency Characteristic of an Electrode-Separated Piezoelectric Sensor and Application to the Determination of the Adsorption of a Surfactant on a Quartz Surface
The oscillation frequency equation for an electrode-separated piezoelectric sensor (ESPS) in a liquid phase was derived theoretically and verified experimentally. The dependences of the frequency shifts on conductivity, permittivity, density and viscosity of the liquid were investigated. The ESPS was applied to determine in situ the adsorption amount of hexadecetyltrimethylammonium bromide on a quartz surface.
