Electrochemistry of ITO and gold electrodes covalently modified with dithizone and the effect of Cu(II) and Pb(II) ions
A new derivative of dithizone has been synthesised and used for the chemical modification of indium tin oxide (ITO) and gold electrodes. The modified electrodes were characterised by cyclic voltammetry and surface spectroscopic techniques and their response to some transition metal ions has been studied. It is concluded that the observed surface reaction corresponds to the formation of a disulphide.
