In-Vivo Recombination of 2 R68.45-Primes, One Carrying Plasmid Genes for Autotrophy (Aut) from Alcaligenes-Hydrogenophilus and the Other Carrying a Sigma(54)-Like Chromosome Gene from Pseudomonas-Oxalaticus
A cluster of ant genes on a plasmid of Alcaligenes hydrogenophilus and a sigma 54-like gene on the chromosome of Pseudomonas oxalaticus have already been respectively cloned in vivo by R-plasmid R68.45. In this study, in vivo recombination of these two R68.45-primes was carried out. A new recombinant plasmid R68.45-prime carrying the ant and sigma 54-like genes was obtained, both genes being stably maintained.
