The disinfection efficiency of pulp industry wastewater with the use of chlorine dioxide and hydrogen peroxide
A mixt. of industrial and municipal sludges (after mech. and biol. treatment) was treated with CIO2 or H2O to eliminate Salmonella enteritidis bacteria. Both use of CIO(2)324 mg/L. for 2 h and H(2)O(2)2760 mg/L for 1 h resulted in a complete inactivation of Salmonella rods in the wastewater. The results were presented as regression equations.
