Uses of simple one-parameter structured model to the anal. of dynamics of continuous stirred tank bioreactors (CSTBR) were reviewed. The model was used to det. both for the Monod and the Haldane dynamics of a batch bioreactor and CSTBR. The CSTBR was subjected to shock changes in an inlet flow rate and in concn. of glucose. Results of the simulations were compared to experimental data to confirm the applicability of the models.
