Self-Organization and supramolecular transformation of amide dendron with focal azobenzene unit

The amide dendron with focal azobenzene unit (2G-Azo) self-asscmbled into a vesicular structure in an aqueous phase. Upon addition of a-, B-, or y-cyclodextrins (CDs) into the vesicular solution of 2G-Azo, the building block of self-assembled structure was changed, and the supramolecular structures were transformed into nanotubes by the inclustion of the focal azobenzene unit into the cavity of CDs.
