Supercritical carbon dioxide extraction of wheat plumule oil
Supercritical carbon dioxide was employed to extract wheat plumule oil in this study. Effects of pressure, temperature, CO2 solvent flows and extraction time on the extraction efficiency were investigated. Three models were set up to describe extraction yield-pressure-temperature, extraction yield-pressure-solvent flows and extraction yield-pressure-extraction time relationships, respectively. A good agreement between predicted values and experimental values was found. By models the optimum processing conditions and quasi-equilibrium conditions of extraction systems can be determined. It contributes to the design and scale-up of process.
