In this paper, the synthesis of hydroxy-terminated linear polycarbonate was studied to understand the effect of mole ratio of initiators, kind of catalyst and structure of initiator. Mixed catalyst of Potassium tert-butoxide and 18-crown-6 showed higher yield than potassium tert-butoxide alone. We also investigated the characteristics of hydroxy-terminated linear polycarbonate by DSC, TGA, GPC.
