Kinetic study of the reaction of nitrate radicals with ethylperoxy radicals between 277 and 358 K
The rate constants of the reaction of nitrate and ethylperoxy radicals are measured using laser photolysis coupled with time resolved UV-vis spectrometry and laser diode spectroscopy over the temperature range 277-358K, for pressures varying between 380 and 550 Torr. This work provides the first kinetic data for the reaction of NO3 + C2H5O2 as a function of temperature. The Arrhenius expression (in cm(3) molecule(-1) s(-1)) is as follows: k(1) (T)=(8.70 +/- 2.40) x 10(-12) exp(-390 +/- 85/T). At room temperature, the rate constant value obtained is in good agreement with the three values previously reported for the NO3 + C2H5O2 reaction. (C) 2015 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
