Detergent Action of Esters of Polyhydric Alcohols in Engine Oils
The possibility of reducing high-temperature deposit formation in internal combustion engines is demonstrated with reference to esters of polyatomic (polyhydric) alcohols. Composites that are superior in thermooxidative stability to pure esters of carboxylic acids were produced by mixing esters of monatomic (monohydric) alcohols and petroleum hydrocracking motor oils.
