A New Method for Synthesis of Cobalt-based Nano-catalyst on Titania for Fischer- Tropsch Reaction
Supported cobalt-based Fischer-Tropsch catalysts with high loading of active metal sites have been prepared using an ultrasound-microwave-assisted method. The impregnation of titania support has been performed by adding cobalt nitrate stepwise when ultrasound treatment is implemented to disperse metal. This method improves the metal deposition and catalyst activity and when using the microwave method for drying and calcination, a uniform distribution of active metal sites inside and outside of final catalyst resulted. To explain the different catalytic activity, all samples have been characterized by Brunauer-Emmett-Teller, scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, and temperature programmed reduction analyses.
