Vessel network formation in response to intermittent hypoxia is frequency dependent
A combined experimental and mathematical model of intermittent hypoxia (IH) conditioned engineered tissue was used to characterize the effects of HI on the formation of in vitro vascular networks. Results showed that the frequency of hypoxic oscillations has pronounced influence on the vascular response of endothelial cells and fibroblasts. (c) 2015, The Society for Biotechnology, Japan.
