This study was production of such form glass. Process for the preparation of form glass was developed and its physical and chemical characteristics was examined. The foam glass sample had density of 0.18+-0.029g/cm³, thermal conductivity of 0.048+-0.002 kcal/hm℃, absorption rate of 0.2+-0.01vol%, linear expansion coefficiant of (8.8+-0.2)×10^-6m/m℃(400℃), bending strength of 1.712N/mm² and compres sibility 3831N/mm².
