A simulation model for MCFC(molten carbonate fuel cell) anode performance was developed. The model was used to express the polarization of anode with partial pressures of hydrogen, carbon dioxide, and water vapor. The expression should have a convenient form to be combined with a stack performance model. In this study, we obtained a simple prediction equation for polarization resistance which agreed well with simulation results based on a detailed model.
