Environmental pollution doesn't occurred for their biodegradability and their blend with other surfactants come into a synergic effect. Employing a surfactant/cosolvent system, 6-O-octanoate-β-D-glucopyranose was synthesized regioselectively via subtilisin A, and the resultant yield was 75.4%.
