Based on the biokinetic model for the microbial substrate inhibition developed in these serial studies, a modeling study has been carried out to account for the low substrate limitation effects as well as for the substrate inhibition. For the compensation of the low substrate limitation effect, Moser's approach is introduced in several models for substrate inhibition. The performance of these microbial growth models is compared with the available data in the literature.
