Template synthesis and photoelectrochemical properties of Bi2S3 microflowers
Uniform hierarchical Bi2S3 nanostructures were fabricated by using Bi2O2CO3 nanoflowers as a sacrificial template through a hydrothermal reaction with an aqueous L-cysteine solution. Multiple techniques, such as X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Mott-Schottky (M-S) plot and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) were applied to investigate the structure, morphology and photoelectrochemical properties of the as-prepared samples. This work demonstrated a simple and cost-effective strategy for the design and fabrication of well-defined complex hierarchical nanomaterials, which can be potentially used in energy storage and conversion devices.
