Selenium-contained analogs Of CnTET-TTP CnTES-TTP (n = 2, 3), have been synthesized. A charge-transfer complex (C2TES-TTP)(2)I-3 shows lower conducting behavior than that of (C2TET-TTP)(2)X (X = BF4, ClO4); C3TES-TTP forms 1:1 complex with I-3, and is semiconductive from room temperature, X-Ray analysis revealed that (C3TET-TTP)I-3 has a dimeric structure, but is not isostructual to (C4TET-TTP)I-3.
