Microwave Catalyst Study for the Dehydrogenation of Ethane
The microwave dehydrogenation of ethane was investigated on natural carbonaceous materials such as Korean anthracite(KAK) or char, and Pd or Pt supported by γ-Al2O3 and α-SiC. It was found that KAK was the best effective for the microwave catalytic conversion of ethane to ethylene. The selectivity of 87.3% was obtained at 72.8% ethane conversion at the incident microwave power of 800watts.
