Content of phosphorus and its available forms in bottom sediments of mid-field water bodies and their importance to fertilization
Bottom sediments were collected from 2 mid-field water bodies located in an agricultural area and studied for contents of total P and soluble P, as well as Cd, Cu, Ni, Pb and Zn contents. The total P contents were 1204 and 752.8 mgP/kg (dry mass). The share of soL P was 48.2% of the total P content. The P bonded to Fe was predominant. The metal contents did not exceed the allowable concns.
