Degradation of 2,4-dichlorophenol with ozone and hydrogen peroxide catalyzed with activated carbon and carbon-supported cobalt
2,4-Dichlorophenol was oxidized with O-3 and H2O2 in presence of activated C or C-supported Co catalyst at room temp. O-3 was more efficient than H2O2 used as oxidn. agent. Use of the Co catalyst resulted in increasing degrdn. of 2,4-dichlorophenol both with O-3 (up to 95.2%) and with H2O2 (up to 75.4%) after 60 mm.
