Kinetic studies on the synthesis of n- and iso-octyl octanoates over ion exchange resin catalysts
Octanoic acid was esterified with octyl alcs. in presence of corn. acidic ion-exchange resins as catalysts at 393-433 K and mole alc. to acid ratio 2.5-10. The reaction showed the 1st order kinetics in respect to acid.
