Low-alloy Mn steel sample was electroplated with Zn from ZnCl2, NaCl, H3BO3 and PhCOONa-contg. bath at 10-30 degrees C and 3-5 V for 10-20 min. The Zn coating quality did not depend on the ZnCl2 concn. in the electrolyte. The quality decreased with increasing temp. and NaCl concn.
