Investigation into the Aerodynamic Parameters of the Recently Designed Two-Level Cylindrical Multi-Channel Cyclone-Separator
The multichannel cyclone-separators is air cleaning equipment of new generation that can remove fine solid particles-up to 2 microns from airflow and reach the general effectiveness of 95%. The work of a channel cyclone-separator is based on centrifugal forces and additionally occurring filtration process. The structure of the cyclone-separator allows achieving higher air flow amount in treating under the same dimensions of the device, thus saving the area required of a working device and operating costs. The article describes the peculiarities of the aerodynamic properties of the device and analyses the results of the cyclone-separator having different inner structures. Research results were obtained at inflow velocities of 12 m/s to 16 m/s. The inner geometry using half-rings and quarter-rings were analyzed. This is the first article testing for multichannel cyclone-separator and determined distributions of aerodynamic parameters.
